Timber-frame houses, which are very popular in Scandinavian states, have been recently widely constructed in Lithuania as well.
The popularity of this design is conditioned by the following facts: simple, fast and cheap construction, quality that meets the requirements of modern construction, good thermal insulation properties – low thermal conductivity comparing to other construction materials, and durability. The design of the house is environmentally friendly – only eco-friendly materials are used for its construction. A great variety of architectural solutions may be implemented in such a house; the house itself is very energy and cost efficient. Comparing to the houses constructed using other building materials the timber-frame houses are very light-weight, easy to transport, assemble and install. Their foundation is of smaller size and their construction demands less materials and expenses.
Panels of the timber-frame houses, i.e. frame units – external and internal walls, ceiling, and roof structure are produced at our plant. All materials are protected against the environmental influence. Therefore production in the enclosed premises is crucial for the high quality of the panels. The frame units may be installed on the foundation on the site within 2-7 days. They can be assembled by a mobile crane taking them directly from the carrier. Due to this there is no need to equip the construction site with additional storage premises, which reduces the construction time and costs.
The panels manufactured on our plant comply with all standards of the construction technical regulation. They have properties that allow presenting to customers the technology of constructing of active or passive houses with various architectural solutions: all components of frames are manufactured using the high quality dried softwood, the external part of frames is covered with OSB panels, the space between the external and internal walls is filled with light mineral wool boards. For the exterior finish we recommend using natural wood boards and decorative bricks.
